Another Round with the Black Magic Marker

You might remember that last spring Lauren decorated the carpet and couch in our playroom with a black magic marker. History repeated itself today, kinda. Today, it was Emily with a black magic marker in the playroom. Problem was, it wasn't my playroom, it was my neighbor Jennifer's playroom. Jennifer and I scrapbooked for a couple of hours today while our kids played. After decorating Jennifer's playroom couch with an orange marker that I tried to clean up, we confiscated all the markers, crayons, pencils, etc. Jennifer kept telling me not to worry about the orange marker and I was beginning to relax when Jennifer headed up the stairs and I heard, "OH NO!!!" Evidently Emily found a marker that Jennifer and I missed and proceeded to decorate a portion of the playroom wall - the one Jennifer's husband just painted a few months ago; and then she moved on to the couch to add black marks among the orange ones she'd left earlier. It's horrible when your child marks on the walls and furniture at home, but horrible doesn't even begin to describe what I felt today at Jennifer's. I was able to scrub the marks off the walls, but didn't attempt to clean the couch. I just gathered up my kids and headed home. What one of my children doesn't think of, the other one will, so please, if you're brave enough to have us over PLEASE PUT UP ALL YOUR WRITING UTENSILS BEFORE WE ARRIVE.
