Oh, the price we girls must pay for beauty. Last Saturday night, I rolled Lauren's hair for the first time. Rollers have a come a long way since the pink styrofoam rollers I slept in as a girl. If you slept in those things, I'm sure you remember they were not conducive to a good night's sleep. These new rollers I bought for Lauren were supposed to be much more comfortable and maybe they were a little more comfortable, but Lauren only made it an hour before I had to go in and take them out. Possibly, if I hadn't been so exhausted from staying up way too late watching the Olympics, I could have dealt with the crying and put her back to bed each time she cried out that she was hurting. I was just too tired to deal with it, and after an hour I took them all out and Lauren proceeded to sleep until 7:30, which is almost a record for her. Who knows, maybe we can try the rollers again now that the Olympics is almost over and hopefully I'll be getting a few more hours of sleep each night.
Oh, and do you notice the piece of hair standing straight up on Lauren's head? That's where I had to cut gum out a few months ago. Grow, please grow, before Uncle Thomas' wedding.

Oh My Goodness to I ever remember those days of those horrible pink curlers! I hated sleeping in those things but got pretty used to it after so many times of doing it! Lauren looks so cute! Love the little twig standing up. Never would have thought you would have to cut gum out of her hair LOL! Your life has got to be so fun and interesting! Miss ya'll very much! I can't believe how much Emily has grown and changed.
