This morning Lauren saw a logo for a local hospital and included in the logo was a cross. Here's our conversation about the Cross:
"Look, Mom, it's the Cross."
"I know, it is the Cross."
"Mom, Jesus hung on the Cross."
"You're right, He did."
"Jesus hung on the Cross and his friends were sad, but then he was buried with a big stone, and Mom, that was all part of God's special plan."
"That's exactly right, Lauren. It was part of God's special plan. Did you know that God has a special plan for your life, and Emily's life, and Mom and Dad's life, too?"
"No way, Mom!"
I think this sums up one of the reasons why I love Easter so much - because of the Cross, we can take part in God's special plan! Thank you, Lord, for a little girl with a tender heart, willing to hear Your truth.

That is wonderful. I know it grips your heart when your child grasps something so wonderful and inmportant. Glad for this moment you and Lauren had! That's what parenting is all about!
What precious thoughts our little ones have,oh to have that child like faith. You inspire me to write down more of my talks with my little ones.
