An Uninvited Visitor

We had an uninvited visitor show up at our house Friday night. Around midnight the stomach bug showed up. Lauren got sick first, keeping me up most of the night. Then, Saturday morning, Emily got sick, too. We gave food to both Lauren and Emily this morning. Emily kept hers down, but not Lauren. Believe it or not, this is the first time either of my girls have thrown up. Lauren was horrible about spitting up until she started eating solid foods, but she's never thrown up until now. Both girls have been good patients. When I left for the grocery store yesterday afternoon, Lauren asked me to bring her flowers home. I brought back daisies, which she loved. As she feels better, Lauren is becoming more demanding..."Bring me my pillow. I need another blanket. MOM, the blanket fell off. Start my movie, please." Needless to say, it isn't an experience we hope to go through again any time soon. The stomach virus is definitely making the rounds here in town and several schools have actually closed because of it. Thus far, Jason and I are feeling ok, so hopefully we aren't going to come down with it. Jason was in Orlando most of last week, so coming home to sick girls wasn't exactly the "Welcome Home" he was looking for. Keep us in your prayers as Jason and I try to stay well and get the girls well!
