Yesterday I got my 5 seconds of fame. The girls and I made a Target run, something we only do every three months or so because I spend way too much money in there, and as we were loading up to go home a reporter from a local TV station came and asked if he could ask me a few questions for a piece he was working on. I answered his two questions and assumed it would be for some little piece in the 2nd half of the broadcast. Wrong. It was a part of the lead story for evening news. While it was neat being on TV, it was also very frustrating, because what I actually said was edited to fit what they needed for the piece. Taken as a whole, my comments made sense, but edited, not quite so much. Lauren was very excited to see me on TV, though, as were some kids from church.
Jason is feeling much better and I am still feeling good, so maybe we're done with the stomach virus. Lauren and Emily were both in bed by 7:30, so we were able to watch the Vandy game in peace. While I wanted Vandy to win, and am glad they did, I feel bad that they won by over 40 points. That is just demoralizing to a team, and I don't hate anybody that much, well maybe Alabama. March Madness will be here before we know it!
