Friends on Fridays

The girls and I have spent the last two Fridays with friends. Today, Lauren went to play with her friend, Lauren, who is 2 weeks younger than she is, and is also named Lauren Elizabeth. They are quite a pair, loving on each other one minute, then beating each other up the next. I love hanging out with Lauren's mom, Jennifer, though we spend as much time refereeing as we do visiting. Before we left, we went outside to play, and the girls discovered the mud. I'm not a mud lover, but it drew the girls like a magnet. Lauren had to ride home barefoot, due to mud on her shoes, and this really stressed her out. She kept crying for me to put her shoes on, which is really odd, because at home she only wants to be barefoot. Thanks Jennifer, for letting us come to play!

Last Friday, we spent the day with my friend Priscilla, and her children. Priscilla's daughter, Carolyn, is the dress up queen and Lauren loves to play dress up with Carolyn. Near the end of the day, Carolyn said, "Mom, Lauren didn't bite me today, or hit me, or pull my hair. This has been so fun!!" Thankfully, Lauren seems to be growing out of some of her acting out, but my friends love to remind me that they grow out of one thing and start something else, so we're not exactly in the clear. I hope you've had a great Friday!
