Looking for the Silver Lining

It's been a month since I've posted and a month since we sold our house and moved into the apartment. Most of the past month has been dedicated to searching for a house and trying to not go crazy in this tiny apartment with two active girls. Thanks to all the snow, ice, and freezing temps, we've spent way more time than we wanted to cooped up in the apartment. Because our house hunting hasn't gone quite like we hoped - we're still looking and have extended our lease for the apartment, I'm trying to find the silver lining in being in the apartment longer than I thought. The positives: it doesn't take long to clean a 900 square foot apartment, I'm close to my job, and we've saved a lot of money in the past month! I'm pretty sure the Lord is trying to teach me patience as we search for a house. The past month has showed me how impatient I really am.

Funny quote from Lauren: "Mom, tonight Daddy read me the Bible story about when Jesus turned the water into cranberry juice." I'm not sure what translation she got that from!

I'm thinking about you and I know that God is going to send the perfect house your way.

Sorry the house hunting is slow for you all. Just know that when you do find that right house the apartment living will not be in vain! We'll keep you in our prayers.
