The things they say...

Lauren and Emily have been keeping us laughing lately. Lauren loves to make up songs and sometimes they're long and involved. I know I'm biased, but Lauren really is creative. The other day, she was making up this really inspirational song about teamwork and the benefits of being on a team. While she was singing her song, Emily decided to make up a song, too. Hers went like this, "Up, down, up, down, up, down, shake your booty." This is a good snapshot of the difference between Lauren and Emily. They were playing school the other day, and Lauren said, "Be good at school!" Emily's response, "I won't be good. I'll be naughty." and naughty she's been. Today she didn't want to go outside, she rubbed hand soap all through her hair in hopes of getting a bath and staying inside. She also got in my jewelry box and hid my jewelry in her room. She's just in to everything all the time. I know Lauren was into everything, too, I think I've just forgotten. Lauren's struggle right now is being quiet when she needs to. She is always singing at the top of her lungs, no matter where we are. Last night, during the sermon at church, she told me, "When this is over I'm going to be LOUD!" and when church was over she rushed outside so that she could be loud.
