It came!!!

My new computer came last night! I've spent the last three hours checking email and catching up on my favorite blogs.

We had a busy weekend. Jason's whole family came up Saturday, so we had an early birthday party for Lauren. She loved being the center of attention and was beyond excited by her presents. She is all about Barbie now, so she loved getting new Barbie stuff. Aunt Joy stole the show by bringing Lauren a soccer goal. We had to spend some time outside this afternoon taking turns being goalies. Speaking of soccer, Lauren's team played Saturday on a field covered in mud with a puddle in front of their goal that was knee-deep. The kids had fun despite the mud, but I don't think the parents were too thrilled. At least Lauren can say she's played in the mud once in her life. YUCK! Hopefully the fields will have some sun to dry them out this week.

Yesterday evening, Jason took Lauren to pick up some Mother's Day surprises. Lauren was so excited it was all she could do to wait until this morning to bring my surprises. I didn't even make it out of the shower before she came in the bathroom with Emily yelling, "Happy Mother's Day!" gifts in hand. Lauren was carrying chocolate, Emily was carrying a gift card to my favorite mall, and Jason was carrying flowers. Jason is the best gift giver, he knows just what I want and I've given up trying to match him in gift giving!
