Headed to the Mountains

Today we're headed to the mountains with my parents for the weekend. We just decided to go last weekend, but I think if Jason didn't get out of town for a few days he might explode from all the work stress. Usually one of the girls get sick right before we make any trip, but they're great. Unfortunately, I'm the sick one with a sinus infection. My allergies have been going crazy for about a week, and then yesterday it just exploded. I'm feeling better today and hope I'll continue to feel better through the weekend. Jason and my dad headed out before us so that they could get a golf game in before dark and the girls and I are waiting for my mom to get home from school so we can leave. I'm excited to be heading to the mountains, but I've finally come to grips that vacationing with kids is no where near what it was like before we had kids. Jason will golf, golf, golf and I will try to entertain the girls while explaining at least a hundred times that the pool at the club is not open yet. Sleeping in will not happen and relaxing with a book will have to come in short increments, but that's ok, I have the promise of a girls' trip sometime in the next couple of months.
