Lots of Excitement

We've had a lot going on at our house this week. The highlight of our week has been a visit with my aunt from California and cousin from Texas. My cousin brought her grandson, who is about two weeks younger than Lauren, so the girls loved having a new friend to play with. In addition to our family visit, we have been to some type of play place the past three days and are wrapping up the week with a swim play date tomorrow. I'm exhausted from all the activity, but the girls have had a blast. Today we were at McDonald's, and Lauren had been up in the play place maybe five minutes when she called out, "Mom, I got something yucky on my pants." She crawled down to show me her pants - poop was smeared down the front of her pants. Somebody playing before us evidently had an accident. Needless to say, our play at McDonald's ended quickly. Though I always worry a little bit about what kind germs the girls might pick up, I never dreamed of poop. I have a feeling it may take me awhile to work my way back to play places at fast food restaurants. Thank goodness I keep a change of clothes in the van!
