Thanks, Jason!

Jason gave me THE MOST WONDERFUL GIFT yesterday. He took charge of the girls after lunch and let me alternate between sleep and sitting on the couch and moaning about how awful I felt. He did everything that needed doing including deal with naps, afternoon play, make dinner, read bedtime stories, and put the girls to bed. What is more wonderful than saying to your children, "Ask your dad." every time they need something. I think Jason was glad to head to work this morning.

Jason has had a cough for almost two weeks, Lauren got sick last Monday, and then it hit Emily on Friday. Saturday, Jason asked why I wasn't sick yet and guess what happened - I got sick on Sunday. I think he kind of owed it to me to let me lie around and do nothing since it is clearly his fault I'm sick. I'm convinced I'd still be feeling fine if he hadn't jinxed me. I was feeling better this morning, but I must've worn myself out talking on the phone with my friend, Priscilla. After solving the world's problems all morning, I'd run out of steam so I did what all good moms do when they're sick and their children are hungry: I pulled out the Halloween bucket and said, "Help yourselves to lunch girls." Have I reached a new low in parenting? I did rally and managed to fix some Mac-n-cheese, because that two tablespoons of milk I added in has to count for something on the nutritional scale doesn't it? Wait, it gets better. Because we haven't had enough carbs today, I'm fixing (ok, fix might not be the right word, since I'm just dumping it from the bag to the bowl and covering with foil) Lasagna Rolls for dinner. Oh well, tomorrow's another day and maybe the girls' growth won't be stunted from a day of no nutrition. Please make me feel better by leaving me a comment and letting me know that you have no nutrition days, too. Oh, and please don't mention this post to my mother. I KNOW she never served pasta for two out of the three meals in a day.

WE HAVE A PROBLEM! I just opened the package of lasagna rolls and there were only 2 small rolls in the package. You'd think for $6 there would be at least 4. Jason could eat the two rolls by himself. Where is the number for Papa John's?

We have horrible meals all the time so no sweat LOL! Hope you all feel better soon. Make Jason watch his cough. Barry has it still and he has been battling it for almost 2 months and with medicine and shots. I don't know what the deal is.

I have definitely had days like yours. Lauren and I were sick last week too. On Monday, I managed to drag us all to gymnastics and back home for lunch and then we all took naps. Robert fixed dinner that night for he and Lauren: mac n cheese, hot dogs, and grape juice. Course later that night is when Lauren got sick and her dinner all came up with a nice coating of grape juice on the carpet. Never a dull moment! Hope you get to feeling better soon. Maybe we can get together before Christmas?!
