Why is the carpet wet?
"Why is the carpet wet?" This is what I was asking Tuesday night before bath time. Usually the answer is Emily took her diaper off and we didn't get a new one on quickly enough. This wasn't the case this time. Prior to finding the wet carpet, I'd been cleaning up the kitchen after dinner - my favorite chore, NOT. Emily was in the kitchen with me and Lauren was supposed to be looking at books in her room until I was ready to give baths. I'm sure you know where this is going. No, Lauren was not reading books. She was busy washing my 25 year old adoption doll's yarn hair. Was Lauren content to just use a little water? No, she needed to use liquid soap, too. What is an adoption doll, you ask? Remember Cabbage Patch kids, this is similar, except that adoption dolls are handmade. Mine was supposed to look like me, blue eyes, long blond yarn hair, etc. and was a Christmas gift from my South Carolina extended family. It is one of the few dolls I kept and I reluctantly put it out for Lauren and Emily. It never occurred to me that Lauren would decide she needed a shampoo. Oh well, at least her hair smells clean and fresh.

Why does this not surprise me? LOL. Lauren is too funny! Were you at all like this as a child? Are you paying for your raising or Jason's LOL!
I hated to read about Alan. My heart just breaks for them both. We will be praying for them!
