A Day at the Park

One of the things I love about Jason is that he encourages me to spend time with my friends. Yesterday, the weather was in the low 70s and I had the opportunity to spend a huge part of the day at the park with some of my friends and their children. My house was a wreck and piles of laundry sat unfolded while my girls enjoyed the warm weather, playing and picnicing, and I enjoyed being with my friends. Jason didn't seem to notice the messy house he came home to, but was glad I enjoyed my day so much. He is always encouraging me to do something fun with the girls, because the time for spending the day having fun is short and the girls will be in school before we know it. Lauren is my have a good time girl. She loves being on the go and when we're out running errands, she'll say, "Mom, let's go one more place before we go home, let's go to one more store." We're going to have some fun shopping days ahead! Emily just goes with the flow and as long as she gets an occasional snack and can catch a nap, she's good to go, too. Unfortunately, the rest of our week won't be as fun as yesterday. The cold weather is back, so we're indoors for the rest of week. The two yellow daffodils that have bloomed at my mailbox give me hope, though, that Spring is coming, and yesterday's weather is a promise of the weather that is to come.
