Shampoo

Lauren loves to be in charge of the shampoo at bath time. She really wants to wash her hair all by herself and isn't thrilled that I have to help. Last night, 13 month old, Emily, decided she could wash her hair, too. She would put both hands on each side of her head and then pat her head over and over. She was so proud of herself. After observing Emily, Lauren said, "Emily, you are going to look great for Ian!" Ian is the 3 year old who lives down the street. I wasn't sure what to be more shocked at - that Lauren is beginning to pick up on the concept of looking great for a boy, or that she wasn't claiming Ian for herself. This just leads me to one thought: What will Lauren be like as a teenager?
