Going to the Grocery store
We had a milestone today. The girls and I went to the grocery store, and upon leaving everyone was happy!!! I'm not sure if this has happened since having Emily. Usually our trips to the grocery store involve whispered threats, mad girls, and an aggravated and irritated mom. Last Saturday is a prime example: three-fourths of the way through shopping, Lauren decides she no longer wants to ride in the buggy. She begins to wail at the top of her lungs, "I want to walk." I refuse to let her out of the buggy and explain that we only have a few more things to get. She gets louder and louder and people begin to stare, so I take what I have and check out. I'm mad and she's mad. Fast forward to today: Emily was happy and content and Lauren obeyed! She didn't get upset when I said no gum and she listened to instructions. Next week may be horrible, but for today I'm celebrating!
