A little overwhelmed

How to describe the last two weeks - draining, crazy, frustrating, overwhelming. Because Jason had to begin his new position almost immediately, the job of relocating our family has fallen to me. Things accomplished in the last couple of weeks: found an apartment, found a school for Lauren, picked out furniture for the apartment, began packing up the things from our house that we need immediately, and then this week moved into the apartment. In the midst of all this we developed a leak in our whole house water filtration that had to be fixed, I had a car issue that required a trip to the mechanic, and then my grandmother passed away, so the girls and I made a 24 hour trip to north Florida for the visitation and funeral. I feel tired just typing it all out. There have been some bright spots in the midst of the insanity that has been my life these last three weeks - reconnecting with cousins I rarely see, watching Emily bring joy to family members as she passed out hugs, remembering wonderful things about my grandmother, listening to the girls recount their day to daddy on the phone each night, having my neighbors help me with things I just couldn't take care of on my own.

The last few days we've been in Memphis and it has been good. Each morning, Emily says, "Will we see daddy at this house tonight?" I've been happy to say, "Yes!" I've been exploring our side of town a little bit and really like the area we are currently living in. I hope when our house sells we can find a house to buy near here. Our apartment complex has a HUGE pool that we've had all to ourselves, we have a great neighborhood to walk in, and a park just down the street. Now if I can just meet some friends! Hopefully finding a church here and getting plugged in at Lauren's school will help. Please continue to pray for our family as we make this move.
