The Rains Came Down as the Floods Went Up
Are you familiar with the children's song The Rains Came Down as the Floods Went Up? It is a great description of what is happening in our area this weekend. We've received at least 12 inches of rain in the last 30 hours. We live up on a hill, so we aren't experiencing any flooding, but many of our friends haven't been so lucky. Most of our friends have lost power today and they are starting to evacuate the area where we attend church. We've been glued to the TV for the past 24 hours. We just can't seem to pull ourselves away from the scenes of devastation. Roads and interstates all around town are closed, schools are closed, and the mayor is begging everyone to stay off the roads. We're not sure when we'll be able to get out and about. The girls have handled being stuck inside really well. Right now Jason is teaching them to play a video game in hopes of keeping them entertained a little longer. I think we may start reading Charlotte's Web this afternoon. Rain, rain, go away!!!

I am so glad ya'll are ok. I have been praying for you. I wasn't sure of the exact area ya'll are in now and so I was so worried. Thank you for updating the blog.
Glad you're okay too. We got quite a bit of rain, but nothing like in Bellevue. I couldn't believe the pics on the news. We are very grateful and keeping all our Bellevue friends in our prayers.
