Ya'll I have obviously failed...
Last night during bedtime prayers, Emily was acting a little silly, ok really it was a lot silly, and so I asked her if she understood who she was talking to when she prayed. Nothing could have prepared me for her answer: Mr. Rogers. Uh, wrong answer, Emily. I went on to explain that when we pray we're talking to God. She evidently doesn't believe me since she brought up Mr. Rogers again today. Then there is her sister, who while practicing Genesis 1:1, told me that instead of memorizing "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.", she was just going to say, "God created the world." Listening to my children, you'd never know that along with my BA in English, I also have a major in Biblical Studies. I have obviously failed at passing my knowledge on to my children, or wait, maybe I can blame the Sunday School teacher!

You haven't failed. I end up praying for CareBears and imaginary friends during bedtime prayers, but at least we're practicing a good thing!
