Waiting for Daddy
Jason has been in South Carolina for the past eleven days at The Graduate School of Banking. Today, Jason completes year two of the three year program. As you can imagine there is lots of excitement at our house as we await Jason's arrival, but please keep him in your prayers. He's been very sick since Sunday and has to give a major presentation before he can come home. I'm not sure how it will go because his voice is basically gone. I've had some frustrating moments as a single parent over the past eleven days, but then I start to think about all those who have a spouse deployed in Iraq or Afghanistan and I realize how lucky I am. What is eleven days compared to a deployment. The girls and I have stayed really busy, which has helped the days pass quickly. We've gone to the zoo, the movies, the library, the park, spent a day at a play place, a day playing at a friend's house, and a weekend with Nana and Papa. Yesterday, after leaving the free movie, Lauren said, "Mom can we please just go home to our house." If you know Lauren, you know that she NEVER wants to be at home, so I think all of the running has caught up with us.
