Last week the girls and I covered 1000 miles in 4 days. We spent time with both of my brothers and met my 7 week old nephew, Ethan. Lauren and Emily were good little travellers. Thank you DVD player for the entertainment you bring and the miles you let me cover in peace.
My nephew, Ethan, is soooo cute. As soon as we arrived at my brother's after travelling all day, Emily rushed in to kiss Ethan. She was so excited to see him and wanted to hold him immediately. Both girls had fun holding him and kissing him, but they both agreed that he should stay with his mama, not come home with us. On Sunday, we visited my brother's church. A lady came up and asked the girls if they'd like to go to children's church and off the girls went without looking back. Usually the girls, especially Lauren, are a little timid around strangers, but Lauren doesn't enjoy sitting in church, so I guess she figured going off with strangers was better than being still in the service.
After spending some time with my brother, Charles, we drove another 100 miles to see my brother, Thomas. The girls had lots of fun playing with Thomas and Kelly. I'm glad my brothers are in good places, but I really miss having them close by. As fun as travelling to see family is, I think we were all glad to come home to our own beds!
