Embarrassed

Sunday mornings are crazy for us. Jason has Praise Team practice at 8:30 and we try to go with him. Last Sunday, as we were rushing to get ready, I went in to check on Lauren. She was pulling a striped shirt on and had pulled out pink jeans to go with it. She grinned at me proudly and said, "Mom, this is what I'm wearing today." I said, "No, you aren't wearing that, you are wearing the dress I ironed for you." She ran out upset and when Jason saw her, he asked her about the mad look on her face. Lauren said, "I'm embarrassed because I made a bad choice for Mom." Jason was so shocked he couldn't reply. What two year old says they made a bad choice, much less feel embarrassed by it?
